The Pulse mobile application design was created as a response to a request for proposal by Health Canada. The intention behind the project was to create a quick reference education tool, both for students and front-line medical staff. The RFP required that the design scale across a wide-range of mobile hardware and operating systems, while utilizing a variety of highly interactive learning material.
Content and Design Execution
Apart from showcasing a contemporary approach to mobile application design, the RFP response also sought to demonstrate the creation of clear and engaging content. This required the design of visually appealing, approachable and intuitive visuals, information graphics, animations and user activities, all driving the end learning goals of the application. It also meant building gameplay and testing mechanics in order to evaluate users.
